Live Fire Peaches with Honey & Cream
Prep Time: ~5 minutes
Cook Time: 6–8 minutes
Servings: 2–4
Ingredients
- 3–4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1-2 tbsp of heavy cream
- 2–3 tbsp honey
- Pinch of salt
Optional: whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, fresh herbs (mint or basil), crushed nuts
Steps
-
Build the Fire
Light your Cowboy Cauldron and let the fire burn down to a steady bed of coals. Place the grill over medium heat. -
Prep the Peaches
Lightly brush the cut side of the peaches with oil or melted butter. -
Grill
Place peaches cut-side down on the grill. Cook for 3–4 minutes until grill marks form and the fruit begins to soften. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes. -
Finish
Remove from heat and drizzle with honey and splash of heavy cream. Add a small pinch of salt to bring out the sweetness. -
Serve
Serve warm, on their own or with your choice of toppings.
Pro Tips
- Look for peaches that are ripe but still firm—they’ll hold up better on the grill
- Don’t move them too early—let the grill marks develop
- A pinch of salt makes the sweetness pop
- Add cream or ice cream for a more indulgent finish
- This is the perfect accent to an already planned brunch, an easy dessert after a long, slow meal, or one of those recipes worth keeping tucked away for whenever you want something simple that feels like more
